Parametric design by Rutger Roodt at University of Melbourne Cause of Affect studio where the project investigated the translation of music into form.
The first step was using the concept for a more sculptural art form without any building requirements. This was to see the potential of the translation of music into form and what could be achieved on a very pure level.
The second step was to create a building with the same concept, and fitting in the building requirements as needed. The sculptural qualities of the design work very well next to the Victorian buildings of the Melbourne CBD as can be seen in the below impression.
